Hello and welcome, my name is Valentina Doushkina; the purpose of this site is to share my diverse background in the optics and photonics fields with you. With over 15 years of experience in various markets and applications; along with academic research and teaching, I hope to provide you with useful insight into the optics field.

A brief background of my professional involvement in the photonics field includes: offering my services and volunteering at the Optical Society of Southern California since 2004; residing as president in the academic year of 2010 / 2011. Currently I offer classes at the University of California Irvine, along with The International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE). I encourage anyone interested in learning more about the optics and photonics fields to participate, and enroll. You can find out more information by following the “Teaching” tab above.
